HOLIDAY VILLAGE WATER TANK INSTALLATION

Forest holidays are a luxury log cabin getaway holiday park that spans across nine locations throughout the UK. Forest holiday parks offer its customers a wide range of accommodation options within the park to suit all group sizes. Part owned by the Forestry Commission and set exclusively within Forestry Commission land. The company has grown from the first cabins built in Scotland in the 1970s to almost 600 cabins in stunning locations, as well as employing 600 people throughout the parks.

Our client requested a replacement water storage tank for their luxury holiday park, as the tank required upgrading during peak season there were concerns over the impact to holidaymakers while the upgrade work was being completed.

This job required delivery and installation on the same day due to the parks remote location. For the tank installation, this was scheduled to take place early in the morning to minimise disruption to guests and staff at the holiday park. Due to offloading restrictions, the installation team and delivery of the tank needed to be coordinated so the project could run concurrently without delays.

Our logistics team organised a tail lift truck from the courier which enabled the crew to offload the sectional water tank once delivery and then immediately commence installation.
The entire install of a 4x4x2 meter tank with a capacity of 32,000 litres from delivery to installation, took the team a day to construct and connect to the holiday village. The new water tank was WRAS approved to supply the holiday homes with wholesome potable drinking water.

Our main objective of upgrading the water tank as quickly and efficiently as possible was a success, the holiday homes experienced minimal impact on their water supply during this changeover. Our Client now has a more reliable supply, significant cost savings on maintenance and no problems with pressure when occupancy rates are at their highest during peak periods over the summer months.
