Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Halloween Quiz night that took place last week in aid of Children’s Hospice South West. There was a great turnout on the night and we managed to raise £293.05 which is fantastic. We would like to thank those who were donated but were unable to attend the quiz, your donations towards the raffle helped to boost the amount raised.

A special thank you to Louisa Tuck, Jean Pugh and Brian Flint who organised this fantastic event, Brain did an excellent job acting as quiz master, ensuring no cheating went on! Congratulations to the winners of the night Steve Player’s team ‘The Players’ who each walked away with a mini trophy. Unfortunately, the wooden spoon prize, which was determined by a tie breaker question, went to Mike Jones’ team ‘Confused.com’.
What will the money we raised buy?
• £10.00 – funds a memory box, helping families and children to create a box of memories to remember their child/brother/sister.
• £50.00 – funds breakfast, lunch and dinner for one family for 5 days during their stay at the hospice.
• £100.00 – could fund a week’s worth of medical equipment provided by trained children’s nurses to children staying at the hospice.
Thank you to the staff of Dewey Waters for getting involved and participating once again for your tremendous efforts and we hope to do more events like this in the future.
